From cake bakes to garage sales, car washes to antique car shows, Central Progressive Bank (CPB) employees were all fired up this summer to raise funds for children and adults living with a disability in the community served by Easter Seals.  CPB’s campaign, “Be An Angel of Change in the Life of Someone with a Disability” raised more than $18,000 in donations for Easter Seals.

CPB’s St. Tammany branch employees pulled the community together and organized multiple fundraisers for the cause, including barbecues, car washes, midnight bowling, cookie dough sales, raffles, and massages.  Two of the Slidell branches partnered with Bethany Lutheran who passed a special collection plate during services for Easter Seals and provided the grounds for a garage sale.

“The employees’ enthusiasm and creativity in raising funds for such a worthy cause was contagious,” stated Sandy Menetre, CPB Executive Vice President.  “In addition to our employees’ tremendous efforts, the bank also donated $25 for each checking account opened during the CPB fundraising campaign.”

“CPB’s employees and customers have shown the true spirit of community giving,” said Dan Underwood, CEO, Easter Seals Louisiana.  “This generous donation will touch the lives of the more than 1,200 families we serve on the Northshore.”

Families such as the Guichards whose two children, 5-year old Courtney and 3-year old Joshua, were both born with disabilities are served by Easter Seals for speech, physical and occupational therapies. “Easter Seals provides our family with the strength to meet each day and hope for the future,” stated father, Kenny.

On Monday, November 23 representatives from Central Progressive Bank presented a check to the ambassador children and representatives of Easter Seals.
