The New Orleans Saints’ game versus the Dallas Cowboys on Saturday, December 19th will air locally on WGNO/ABC 26. ABC 26 will begin local pre-game coverage at 4pm (CT) from the Louisiana Superdome.
WGNO/ABC 26 will bring more Saints coverage than any local station as part of its “Saints Saturday.” At 4pm, ABC 26 News will broadcast two live local pregame shows. “Who Dat! Hysteria” will air from 4 to 6pm followed by “Countdown to Kickoff” from 6pm to 7pm(CT). Hosted by ABC 26 News anchors Michael Hill, Jessica Holly and Ed Daniels, the shows will give viewers at home a look at the atmosphere and tailgating around the Superdome and stories on some unique Saints fans.
“Like many fans across the area, we’re extremely excited about the Saints 13-0 start to the season. The matchup against the Cowboys is one of the biggest games of the year. We are pouring all of our resources into bringing over three hours of outstanding local coverage. It’s going to be all saints, all day,” says ABC 26 News Director Rick Erbach.
At 7pm (CT), ABC 26 will air the NFL Network’s special Saturday broadcast of Thursday Night Football. The station will conclude its coverage with a locally produced post game show.
“Saints fans have an incredible passion for their team. It seems like everyone just can’t get enough. Unfortunately, the NFL Network is only available on some cable and satellite providers. So, we’re very pleased to provide the game live on free broadcast television, along with our great local coverage to everyone in the New Orleans area,” states ABC26 General Manager Phil Waterman.
