COVINGTON, LOUISIANA (APRIL 21, 2010) –Stirling Properties unveiled plans for its latest development venture, River Chase, at a luncheon held at Dakota’s Restaurant in Covington. River Chase is a master planned, mixed-use development in the heart of Western St. Tammany Parish. When completed, the development will consist of over one million square feet of office space, one million square feet of retail space, 240 apartments, 250+ condos, two hotels, numerous restaurants and other retail uses. River Chase is positioned with direct access to Christwood Retirement Community and Christ Episcopal School.

“River Chase certainly will be the most unique and comprehensive mixed-use project ever to hit St. Tammany Parish,” said Townsend Underhill. “This project is paving new ground on the Northshore because it incorporates a very large Mixed-Use project with both commercial and residential development in one location,” said Mr. Underhill.

Phase I of the project was completed in 2004. This phase includes the largest open air retail center in St. Tammany Parish. The center is anchored by Target, Belk, J.C. Penney, Best Buy, Marshall’s and Ross. It also features a 14-screen stadium style theatre. Subsequent phases of the development are in various stages of planning and development.
