Neighborhood Housing Services (NHS) – Northshore opened an office in Bogalusa in order to provide services more conveniently to the people of Washington Parish. The new NHS office is located at 2030 South Columbia Street, Bogalusa, 70427. The phone number is 985-732-0064 and fax, 985-732-0122. Office hours are Monday, Tuesday and Thursdays from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Mr. Justin Jernigan is staffing the NHS Bogalusa office.
Mr. Jernigan is a graduate of the University of Mississippi at Oxford, and is experienced in real estate sales and banking. He can be reached at justinjernigan@nhshola.org Funding for the Bogalusa office is provided by a Washington Parish Community Development Block Grant.
NHS - Northshore is an expansion of Neighborhood Housing Services of New Orleans, a 32 year old nonprofit with a mission to help families achieve the American Dream of homeownership. NHS works with people of all economic levels, providing them with “tools” to become successful home owners. Among NHS services offered are: one-on-one credit counseling; Homebuyer Training (HUD and USDA approved) and Financial Fitness classes; gap financing (when available); pre-purchase, post-purchase and foreclosure prevention counseling.
