St. Tammany Parish will again keep a shelter open this evening for warming purposes, due to the continuing hard freeze expected. The shelter will be at Thompson Road Baptist Church, located at 59008 Hwy 433 in Slidell. American Red Cross workers will be managing the shelter for St. Tammany Parish. It will open at 7:00 PM for any residents who need warming from the cold temperatures.
This shelter is for warming purposes only; no food will be served.
